The Cloud One
The Cloud One is the design brand of the Motel One Group, with houses in European cities and in New York. The platform was rebuilt from the ground up — an image-led design, held consistent across every area by a design system.

A complete rebuild of the platform. I contributed to the design system and implemented components and modules across the whole frontend — along with the infrastructure the platform ships on.

The shared foundation
Large images, little around them: the homepage gets by with one visual and the search. For that design to hold across every area of the platform, there is a design system underneath — I contributed to it, to the components, type scale, and tokens the interface is built from.

What The Cloud One is
The Cloud One is the design brand of the Motel One Group: houses in central locations across European cities and in New York. The rooms are compact; the real centre of each house is the lounge, the bar, and often a rooftop terrace. Every house is built into an existing building and its surroundings — in Prague, for instance, right in the old town. Arrive, feel comfortable, switch off, is how the brand describes itself; the platform has to carry that across before a booking even begins. The module in the image is one of the places where that happens: it introduces the houses one by one.

Düsseldorf-Kö Bogen
The detail page of a single house, here Düsseldorf-Kö Bogen. The booker bar runs along the bottom: it keeps the current search — dates, guests, price — permanently visible and leads from anywhere on the page straight into room selection, without having to jump back to the search.
Delivery and operations
I contributed to the infrastructure — the automated deployments from commit to production, and the observability that makes operation traceable.
One design system — across the entire frontend.
